Overview
A Psalm in Your Heart, Revised
by George O. Wood
Ideal for personal reading, weekly staff devotions, or a small group study within your church,
this
book will open up the
Psalms in a new way. Author George O. Wood illuminates how our sorrows today arise from three
sources constantly identified
in the Psalms: hurts others have done to us, hurts we have done to ourselves, and the hurt
because
God—who could
have spared us—let it happen. Exploring the Psalms through this lens allows us to gain
perspective
on our own most
personal needs. The studies help us invite God’s truth to provide stability, balance, and hope
to
our hearts. They
challenge us to use the Psalms as our guide to make our “valley of Baca” (the dry desert in our
life) a
“place of springs.”
