Half Two: The Quest for a God-Honoring Encore
by Wes Wick
Life's second half in America presents many twists and turns in our quest to make
it whole, make it His, and make it count.
Half Two navigates this sometimes-bumpy terrain and provides practical alternatives to
generational segregation, self-absorption, and non-viral faith. Author Wes Wick inspires and
challenges adults to choose God's higher purposes over complacency, to remain vitally connected
to younger generations, and to steward our unique gifts, life experiences, wisdom, time, and
other resources in powerful, God-pleasing encores.
Half Two also equips churches with a stronger kingdom focus and vision for the
burgeoning population of adults over fifty.

Meet the Author
Wes Wick, and his wife Judy, have personally experienced the jolt of the empty
nest, the joy of welcoming three daughters-in-law and one son-in-law into their family, and the
jubilation of becoming grandparents to four, so far.
With vocational backgrounds in church ministry, college administration, and
consulting—and most importantly, with God’s prompting—Wes & Judy jumped in with all
four feet and started the interdenominational ministry of YES! in 2008. YES! is focused on
maximizing over-fifty adults’ kingdom potential.
What People Are Saying
“Every church would do well to get a copy of this book for every Half Two
congregant and have them form small groups to walk through the book, chapter by chapter. I
believe such an endeavor will truly revolutionize lives and revitalize the vital Half
Two segment of the local church.”
—Dr. George O. Wood, chairman, World AG Fellowship
“It’s time that the church develop new strategies to better use the potential gifts of
its 50-plus members. In most cases, they are untapped resources—just waiting to be
recruited and empowered for service. Half Two goes a long way to provide inspiration and
methodology for just that. Wes and Judy Wick have devoted themselves to bring this message to
churches and individuals across the nation. This outstanding, must-read book is engaging and
